Revocation by email: You have to pay attention to this
If you want to cancel a contract, you can do so conveniently by email. We will show you what you have to pay attention to when you withdraw so that it is effective.
Send revocation: This is how it works by email
In particular, you can revoke Internet purchases in many cases. Usually there is a cancellation period of 14 days, which only begins when you have received all the goods in the order.
- In principle, you can send a revocation in all possible ways - whether by post, fax, contact form, SMS or email. If in doubt, you should always have proof of sending the revocation, so that the mail is a comparatively good choice.
- Include all important information about yourself and your purchase in the email. This includes name and address as well as the contract number or the customer number. It is only important that the dealer can assign your revocation to the order.
- As a text, the following sample is sufficient: "I hereby cancel the contract I have made for the purchase of the following goods or the provision of the following service". You do not have to provide a reason.
- Also ask for confirmation that the mail has been received. The retailer will tell you how to return the goods after receipt of the cancellation. You can often find the relevant information on the dealer's website in the terms and conditions or the cancellation policy.
- Important: If the seller does not confirm your access, in case of doubt you have no proof that the revocation has reached him. In such cases, please send a letter of revocation as a letter of security. Also make sure that this second revocation is sent within the deadline - that it is received after the deadline is harmless.
