How do I create a template for Power Point presentations?
Creating a template for PowerPoint presentations is very useful. This saves you the extra work of editing the layout and other settings for each individual slide. With the slide master you can create a uniform layout for the entire presentation. How to find it:
Four steps to your own template
You can create your own template or edit an existing one. No matter what you choose, you go through the following four steps.
- First, select an empty slide or one that is already filled with content under the "Draft" tab.
- Now go to the slide master under the "View" tab. The designs and content for all created slides are defined here. The first slide in the left column is the slide master, on which the design is determined, for example. This design is then automatically integrated on all newly created foils.
- The other layouts are located under the master slide. There you can now define the layout and distribution of the content for each one. You can now also define placeholders here. Simply determine where titles, bullets or graphics should be placed.
- The last step is to save. Because only here you make a template out of the presentation. Simply select "File", "Save As" and then select "Power Point Template" as the file type. A click on Save and you can now load your template as such into any presentation.
