What is Apple TV?
- Apple TV is a so-called set-top box - a handy box that you can connect to your TV using an HDMI cable.
- The box is connected to the network via WLAN. So you can access your iTunes library and portals like YouTube, Maxdome or Netflix.
- You can also stream movies, videos and music from your iPhone, iPad or Mac to your TV via AirPlay and access your photos and videos in iCloud.
How does Apple TV work?
- First, connect the black box to your TV with an HDMI cable. It is operated with the enclosed remote control or with a programmed infrared remote control.
- To set up, you need to connect the Apple TV to the network using either WiFi or an Ethernet cable.
- After logging in with an Apple ID, you can use all functions of the Apple TV.
- You can then download apps that allow you to access different streaming portals. Services like Netflix and YouTube are pre-installed.
- You can also connect your Apple devices to the Apple TV via AirPlay.
- If your computer or Mac is turned on and connected to the same network, you can also access your iTunes library.
