Amazon Kindle: The cost of the reader
Amazon currently offers four models of Kindle:
- Amazon Kindle: The simplest version is the Amazon Kindle for currently 69.99 euros. The screen has no lighting and a resolution of 167 ppi. In addition, the simple Kindle is not available with a 3G module.
- Amazon Kindle Paperwhite: The Kindle Paperwhite currently costs 119.99 euros. It offers screen lighting and 300 ppi.
- Amazon Kindle Voyage: The Kindle Voyage currently costs 189.99 euros. It is also equipped with an intelligent front light and page turning via PagePress.
- Amazon Kindle Oasis: The Kindle Oasis currently costs 289.99 euros. It is thinner and lighter than the cheaper models and comes with a charging case that charges the Kindle during transportation.
- After switching on, first select the operating language and connect the device to a WLAN network.
- Then log in with your Amazon account or set up a new account. If you want, you can use your Kindle without Amazon.
- After registration, the introductory mode starts. You get an overview of all functions of the Kindle.
- The books you bought through your Amazon account are stored in the cloud and can be downloaded to Kindle.
Amazon Kindle: Where can I get the eBooks?
- You can find a huge selection of eBooks to buy from Amazon. If you purchase an eBook here, it will automatically be displayed in the cloud and can be downloaded to Kindle.
- Alternatively, you can also buy eBooks in other shops. It is important that they are in AZW or MOBI format. Download the eBooks to your computer and transfer them to your Kindle via USB using the Caliber software.
