How does Klarna work? Explained in a simple and understandable way
Klarna is increasingly offering online shops as a means of payment. But very few users know how the service works. We explain in an understandable manner how Klarna works and how you use the service.
Online payment via Klarna - how it works
Klarna is a company that offers payment by invoice in numerous online shops. Paying with Klarna doesn't cost you a cent, is secure and, above all, easy. In addition, you only pay for the goods if you really want to receive and keep them.
- The Klarna service handles the purchase between the customer and the dealer, which has advantages for both sides. You handle the purchase with Klarna, Klarna then transfers the money to the dealer. In contrast to other payment methods, you do not have to provide your account details for every shop on the Internet. The money will only be transferred upon receipt of the goods and only to Klarna.
- If you select payment via Klarna when buying in an online shop, only a few data will be recorded. Enter your name, your email address and your address and complete the purchase. The goods come by post, the invoice by mail.
- If the goods are sent by the dealer, you have 14 days to pay Klarna the invoice. If you don't like the goods, simply send the parcel back. The dealer will automatically cancel your open invoice with Klarna.
- If you use Klarna more often as a means of payment, you should pay your bills as quickly as possible. If too many items were ordered in a short time and not yet paid, you have to switch to another payment method until the invoice is paid.
- Attention: If you still haven't paid the invoice after 14 days, the first reminder will not be long in coming. However, should you receive an illegal warning from Klarna, you can take action against it.
On the next page we show what you should pay attention to when paying with Klarna.
