How does Paydirekt work? Clearly explained
Paydirekt is still a relatively new payment method. In this practical tip, we have summarized for you how payment with Paydirekt works and what distinguishes it from other payment methods such as PayPal.
This is how Paydirekt works
Since 2015, you can also pay with Paydirekt in many online shops. Thats how it works:
- The payment procedure is similar to other payment services such as PayPal or Klarna, but has one major advantage: Paydirekt is an additional function of your checking account and not a separate provider.
- If your financial institution takes part in the Paydirekt process, registration is very easy. You register in the online banking area and activate the additional option.
- The prerequisite is, of course, that you are registered with your savings bank or bank for online banking.
- After you have registered for Paydirekt, you can use this payment method with all online shops that participate. If you have bought something, you only have to enter your username and password during the payment process.
- Almost at the same time, the payment process will be forwarded to your bank, which will release the process immediately if your account is covered. The online retailer is certain that the invoice will be paid and can send the goods immediately.
- Another advantage of Paydirekt is that you can comfortably shop online without having to enter sensitive bank details.
More and more online shops are taking part in Paydirekt, but far from all. In the next post, we will therefore introduce you to some other secure payment methods.
