You should know how WebEx works when you are invited to a meeting through the video telephony service provider. We have created a short guide for you and also show you how to set up a meeting yourself.
WebEx: Participate in a meeting via video telephony - how it works
Attending a WebEx meeting is easy.
- You are invited to receive an email. To participate in the meeting, simply click the "Participate" button in the email.
- You will then be directed to a login screen. In the right field, enter your name as it should be displayed in the meeting.
- Enter the email address you were invited to in the text field below and click on "Participate".
- On the following screen, you will see a phone number on the left that you can use to dial in.
- Now you are in the meeting and can do your tasks there.
WebEx: How to set up a video telephony meeting yourself
To set up a meeting, you need an account with WebEx.
- Log in to the WebEx website with your access data.
- If you are logged in, click on the tab "Start". Then you have to fill out a few fields.
- Next to "What", enter the name of the meeting. With "When" you set the date, time and duration of the meeting. Enter the name or email address of the participants in the text field next to "Who". Click on the "+" sign at the end of the text field to add another participant.
- Optionally, you can create an agenda in the text field "Agenda" and upload documents. Uploaded documents are forwarded to all invitees.
- In the next field, you set a password for the meeting, if you want to.
- Finally, click on "Schedule a meeting" and you are done. You will now receive a confirmation and the invited participants will receive an email.
