The usual line spacing of "1.0" is already preset for normal documents. However, a larger line spacing may be required for special purposes. If you want to set it, proceed as follows:
- Start Word and select the part of the document for which you want to change the line spacing. Of course, if you want to change the distance for an empty document, you do not have to select any text.
- Click on the button with the two opposite arrows in the "Paragraph" area on the top left of the "Start" tab
- Now select the required line spacing. In the "Line spacing options" you will find further options to adjust the spacing individually.
- You have a wide variety of options using the "Line spacing options". If you change a value or activate an option, it will be shown directly at the bottom of the preview.
