Regardless of whether for Facebook, Twitter or online banking - with all services you should always ask yourself: "How secure is my password". We show you how you can easily test security yourself and give tips for a secure password.
How secure is my password really?
You can easily test your password security online. This way you can be sure that all your accounts are adequately protected:
- Call up the free password check in your browser.
- Enter your password in the empty field and then click on "Check password security".
- On the next page you can see whether the password is insecure (red), moderately secure (yellow) or very secure (green).
- The higher the score, the more secure your password is. It is best to score over 80 points here.

Create a secure password - you should pay attention to this
- Use as many letters, numbers and special characters as possible in your passwords. In total, your password should be at least 10 characters long.
- Also avoid information that others can easily guess. This includes, for example, your birthday, your nickname or the name of your pet.
- In general, the more random the character combinations, the more secure the password.
