Wii: All connections at a glance
Before you buy a Wii, you should find out about all connections. We show you which connections are available and which cables you need.
Wii: All front and top connections
- There are two flaps on the top of the console. Here you will find four sockets for GameCube controllers and two slots for GameCube memory cards.
- There is also a small flap on the front next to the drive. The SD card slot is hidden behind it.

Note: The delivery includes all relevant cables for starting up the Wii.
- Video: With the largest connector, the Wii transmits image and sound. To do this, you need to connect the AV adapter to the television using the three cables.
- Sensor: The rather small connector belongs to the sensor bar. With this, the movements are perceived by the controller.
- Electricity: Of course, the power connection must not be missing. You can find it at the bottom of the back.
- USB: Two USB 2.0 ports are also on board. Here you can connect external hard drives, among other things.
