If you do not have enough Wii memory or want to play data on the Wii, you can connect an external hard drive to the console. We'll show you how it's done.

- Nintendo recommends using an external hard drive with its own power supply. This ensures continuous use. However, external hard drives without additional power supply should generally also work.
- The Wii is unfortunately quite limited in its multimedia functions. If you want to use the external hard drive more versatile, you can install the homebrew channel on the Wii.
Instructions: Connect the hard drive to the Wii
- Turn off the Wii completely and turn the console over. The USB ports are on the back.
- Use the right USB port here to connect the external hard drive to the Wii.
- If you switch on the Wii, the external hard drive can be selected as additional storage.
