Wii U: gamepad keeps losing connection - what to do?
Many users are constantly losing connection with the Wii U gamepad. We will show you how to solve the problem.
Wii U: Gamepad keeps losing connection
- Faults: The Wii U establishes its own WLAN connection between the console and the gamepad. If other devices such as DECT telephones, routers or even smartphones spark in the immediate vicinity, this can lead to interference. To prevent this from happening, temporarily turn off all nearby wireless devices.
- Battery: For some users, it helped to briefly switch the energy-saving mode on and off in the settings. Also make sure that the battery level is sufficient. Problems can also occur if the battery is weak.
- Distance: Usually the problem should not be the distance. Even if you are five meters from the console, there should be no connection problems.
Wii U: Register the gamepad again
If the gamepad is disturbed on its radio channel, you can change the channel by registering the gamepad again.
- Turn on the Wii U gamepad and press the "SYNC" button on the console.
- Take the stylus from the gamepad and press the sync button on the back of the gamepad.
- Four symbols now appear on the TV. Enter the symbols on the gamepad and confirm your entry.
- Then the gamepad is re-registered in the Wii U.
In the next practical tip, we will show you how to play Wii games with the Wii U gamepad.
