Windows 10: set active hours - so it'll work
If you set the so-called Active Hours in Windows 10, you will not be interrupted by annoying update messages. We'll tell you how to tailor the feature perfectly to your needs.
Set Active Hours in Windows 10
In the active hours or times of use, all notifications and restarts due to Windows updates are deactivated. New updates will not be installed during these times either. For example, you can spend the entire working day undisturbed on the PC.
- To set the active hours, first open the Windows settings with the key combination [Windows] + [I].
- In the new window, click on the "Update and Security" category.
- In the "Windows Update" tab, select the "Change usage time" entry in the "Update settings" area.
- Finally set the start and end time of your rest period and close the settings window. However, please note that the usage time may not exceed 18 hours.
