Windows 10: Delete and add the app in the start menu

In Windows 10, you can delete and add individual apps as you wish in the new Start menu. We show you how this works in this guide.

Windows 10: Add app to the start menu

1. Click the Windows icon at the bottom left of the screen so that the Start menu opens.
2. You can now find all installed apps here. Scroll down the list until you find the app you want.
3. Right-click on the app and select the "Pin to Start" option.

Windows 10: Delete app in the start menu

1. To delete an app from the Start menu, right-click on an application and select the "Detach from Start" option.
2. The app is then hidden in the start menu. Alternatively, you can adjust the size of the app.
3. Note: If you remove all apps from the start menu, you will get a very simple view (see picture).

Use the old start menu

You can't make friends with the apps in the start menu. You can also use the start menu in the old look. With a software from our download area you get back the previous start menu.
