If you no longer need a user account in Windows 10, you can delete it. It simply works from another existing account. We'll show you exactly how to do it.

If you want to delete a user account on your PC, there are a few things to consider.
- You cannot delete a user account that is currently logged on. Simply log in with a different account.
- It is important that the second account admin rights have your PC. Otherwise you cannot delete the user account.
- Please note that all data and settings saved on the deleted user account will be permanently removed.

If there is no other user, create a new user account and give it admin rights. You can then start deleting the user account.
- Press the key combination "Windows" + "I" and select the entry "Accounts" (see image 1).
- Now click on the "Other people" tab on the left. Here you get an overview of all registered users on your PC (see picture 2, step 2).
- Select the user account to be deleted with the left mouse button and click on "Remove" (see image 2 and 3, steps 3 and 4).
- Finally, all you have to do is click the "Delete account and data" button in the blue window.
