To create a screencast, use one of many free tools on Windows 10 as well.
- Use for example the VLC Media Player or the ActivePresenter to film your screen under Windows 10. The next section explains how to create a screencast with ActivePresenter.
- With the Microsoft Expression Encoder, Microsoft also offers its own software for screencasts.
- You can also film your screen with the CamStudio program.
Screencast with ActivePresenter - so you film the screen
Install the ActivePresenter program on your PC and start the software.
- Click on "New Capture".
- At this point, select "Record Movie / Streaming Video".
- With the small pencil icon on the right side you can select the yellow light under "Cursor" to switch off your pointer.
- At this point, you can also completely deactivate the pointer if you want. To do this, remove the tick from "Show Mouse in Full Motion Recording Mode". Save the changes with "Save".
- Then click "OK" and then in the "Capture New Project" bar on the big red dot. The recording starts now.
