If you want to work with 2 programs at the same time, it is very practical to have both windows displayed side by side. We'll show you how to use the "Share Screen" feature in Windows 10.
How to use the "Share screen" function in Windows 10 (quick guide)
- First start all programs that you want to open side by side.
- Move the mouse pointer onto the top bar of a window and hold the left mouse button pressed to move the window to the edge. A transparent preview is now displayed.
- Release the mouse button to place the window. So you can display 2 programs side by side.
- If you want to have 3 or 4 programs, you have to use the same procedure to drag the windows to one of the 4 corners of the screen.
- Now a preview appears on the free areas of the screen, where you can select one or more other programs.
1. Start all programs
Start all programs that you want to open side by side.
2. Move the window
Drag the window to the right edge so that a transparent preview appears.
3. Place the window on the edge
Place the window to display 2 programs side by side.
4. Slide the window into the corner
For 3 or 4 programs, drag the window into a corner using the same principle.
5. Select another program
Select the program you want to display from the preview.
