Windows 10: Copy and Paste in the command prompt - how it works
In this practical tip, we explain how Copy & Paste works in the Windows 10 command prompt. You must first activate the shortcut keys for the command prompt, then you can copy and paste codes as usual.
Use copy and paste in the Windows 10 command prompt
- Right-click on the Command Prompt title bar.
- Select the "Properties" or "Properties" there.
- Then click on the "Experimental" or "Experimental" tab.
- Here you activate the option "Enable new Ctrl key shortcuts".
- Save the changes with "Ok".
- You can now use the keyboard shortcuts for copy and paste. VDo mark your code with the key combination [Shift] + [Left / Right / Up / Down].
- Copy the selected text to the clipboard using the [Ctrl] and [C] keys.
- You can then paste the code back into the command prompt. To do this, use the key combination [Ctrl] + [V].
