Recognize music on Windows 10 - install Shazam
Since Windows does not have its own music recognition, you must first download and install the Shazam app on your PC.
- To do this, open the Windows store and search for the free "Shazam" app.
- Click the "Free" button to download the app to your PC.
- Then select your respective Microsoft account with which the app is to be linked.
- You may need to confirm this by re-entering your password.
- Then click "Install" to install the app.
Cortana: Recognize music on Windows 10 with Shazam
- If you have successfully installed Shazam, start Cortana with the voice command "Hey Cortana". You need a microphone for this.
- As soon as Cortana is opened, you can use the voice command "Shazam this title" to recognize music that is playing in the background.
- A small part of the music is then recorded and searched for in the Shazam app.
