Windows 10: activate and set up Dynamic Lock - so it'll work
With Dynamic Lock, Microsoft brings another useful function to Windows 10. We will show you how to activate and set up the function.
Windows 10: what can Dynamic Lock do?
- Dynamic Lock locks Windows 10 automatically as soon as you move away from the computer. If you sit back on the PC, Windows will be unlocked automatically. If another person sits in front of the computer, Windows remains locked.
- Dynamic Lock is currently only available through the Windows 10 Insider program. All other users will only receive the function with the Creators Update in spring 2017.
- And Dynamic Lock has another limitation. To use the function and other features like Windows Hello, you need a special camera. There are currently only a few desktop PCs and laptops with compatible Windows Hello hardware.
Enable Dynamic Lock on Windows 10
- Click on the Windows logo in the lower left corner and select the gear icon in the Start menu.
- In the "Accounts" category, switch to the "Login options" on the left.
- In addition to the "Dynamic Lock" item, you can set the function to "On" or "Off".
