Windows 10: error 8007003 - what to do?

If error 8007003 occurs when upgrading to Windows 10, the process cannot be carried out correctly. We'll show you how to fix the problem and properly install Windows 10.
Step 1: stop Windows Update for Windows 10 upgrade
- Press the "Windows" and "R" keys simultaneously so that the "Execute" command opens.
- Enter "services.msc" here and confirm with "OK". You will then see all Windows services.
- Scroll down and look for "Windows Update" in the list of services.
- Right-click on the entry and select "Stop".
- Leave the window open and follow the instructions in the next paragraph.
Step 2: fix error 8007003 on Windows 10
- Press the "Windows" and "E" keys simultaneously so that the Explorer opens.
- Now navigate to the path "C: \ Windows \ SoftwareDistribution \ DataStore" and delete the entire content.
- Then go to this path and delete all existing files and folders there: "C: \ Windows \ SoftwareDistribution \ Download".
- Now switch back to the services and select "Start" instead of "Exit".
- Open Windows Update again and try upgrading to Windows 10 again.
