If serious errors occur under Windows 10, you should first check your hard drive for errors and have them repaired if necessary. We'll show you how to get your hard drive back on track with the new Windows.
Check and repair hard drive in Windows 10
- Press the [Windows] and [E] keys simultaneously so that the Explorer opens.
- Go to the "This PC" category on the left and select the hard drive you want.
- Then right-click on the hard disk and select the "Properties" entry.
- Go to the "Tools" tab above and click on the "Check" button.
- Here you choose the "Scan drive" option to start the process.
- If an error is found, Windows automatically tries to fix it. The whole process can take several minutes depending on the size of the hard drive.
