Windows 10: activate airplane mode - how it works
Airplane mode in Windows 10 turns off all network communication on your system. This article shows you how to activate the function.
Activate airplane mode in Windows 10
You can activate airplane mode in Windows 10 via the notification center. To do this, click on the message icon next to the time in the task bar and then on "Airplane mode". Alternatively, use the settings:
- To do this, click on the Windows logo at the bottom left and then on "Settings". Alternatively, you can also use the key combination [Windows] + [I].
- Here you switch to the "Network and Internet" category and then to the "Airplane mode" tab.
- Activate the first option here to switch to offline mode.
Windows 10: Allow single devices in airplane mode
By default, Airplane mode in Windows 10 prevents all network communication. WLAN, Bluetooth and Co are therefore deactivated. However, you can allow individual functions via the settings:
- To do this, navigate again in "Settings"> "Network and Internet"> to "Airplane mode".
- In the "Wireless devices" section you can then reactivate individual functions such as WLAN or Bluetooth.
