Windows 10: Assign group names in the start menu
If you want to personalize the start menu under Windows 10, you can assign group names for your apps. We'll show you step by step how this works.
Assign group names in the Windows 10 start menu
- Open the start menu, you will find some apps on the right side. If this is not the case, click on "All apps" below, select an app by right-clicking and choose "Pin to start".
- A group is only created in the start menu when there is a little space between the apps. If there is currently only one large group, simply drag an app down a bit with the mouse.
- Then click on the free space between two groups and type in the desired name. If you hold the name with the mouse, entire groups can also be rearranged.
In the next practical tip, we will show you how to use the Start menu in Windows 10 in full screen.
