Windows 10: Customize Info Center - the best tips
You can quickly reach the most important settings and notifications in Windows 10 via the Info Center. This guide will show you how to customize and personalize the tool.
Windows 10: Customize shortcuts in the info center
By default, you can turn on tablet mode, take notes and open the Settings app in the info center. You can also change these shortcuts as you like:
- First open the settings via the start menu or the key combination [Windows] + [I].
- In the "System" category, switch to the "Notifications and Actions" tab.
- In the "Quick Actions" section, you can customize the first four shortcuts in the Info Center. To do this, tap on the respective icon and select the desired function from the dropdown menu.
- Your settings are automatically transferred to the info center.
- Tip: Click on "Expand" in the Info Center, call up eight more shortcuts.
Customize notifications in the info center
In Windows 10, the Info Center is not only used to quickly reach the most important settings, it also collects all notifications that have arrived. You can also customize how these are displayed:
- To do this, start the Settings app again and go to the "System"> "Notifications and Actions" section.
- Under "Notifications" you can deactivate or switch on the individual messages.
- Adjust the notifications of individual apps below. For example, you can only allow the most important messages from Windows and your virus scanner. These virus scanners are already ready for Windows 10.
- Tip: If you want to deactivate the sound of the notifications, click on "Optional Features" and deactivate the corresponding slider.
Although Microsoft's Info Center has been widely advertised, apart from the two things mentioned, you cannot do anything. If you no longer want to use the center, you can simply deactivate the feature.
