Windows 10 uses the names of the respective app shortcuts for the tiles in the start menu. You can use a trick to rename them and thus change the name of the tile. We'll show you how to do this.
Windows 10: Rename app tiles
If you have a program pinned to the Start menu in Windows 10, you only have to rename the shortcut:
- To do this, open the start menu and right-click on the desired program tile.
- In the context menu, select the "Open file path" option.
- Windows Explorer opens in which you can find the program's link. Rename them with one click and confirm with [Enter].
- If the new tile name is not automatically adopted, click with the right mouse button on the tile and select "Remove from 'Start'".
- Then look for the desired program again in the start menu via the "All apps" entry and click on "Attach to 'Start'" in the context menu.
