If no sound is played in Windows 10, this can have several reasons. We'll show you how to solve the problem.
No sound in Windows 10: choose the right settings
- Open the start menu using the button at the bottom left and select the control panel there.
- Under the category "Hardware and Sound" you will find the item "Sound". Here you can see all available audio devices.
- Select your speaker with the right mouse button and choose the option "Activate".
- Also click on the "As Standard" button below so that the speakers are always used by Windows.
No sound in Windows 10: Check driver
- Press the "Windows" and "R" keys simultaneously so that the "Execute" command opens.
- Enter "devmgmt.msc" here and confirm with "OK". Then the device manager starts.
- You will find your sound card under the category "Audio, Video and Game Controllers".
- Click on it with the right mouse button and select the option "Update driver software".
- If that doesn't work, select the "Uninstall" option and then "Install" again.

Emergency solution: repair and new purchase
