Windows 10: Reset Microsoft Edge - Here's how
In this practical tip, we explain how to reset Microsoft Edge on Windows 10. You cannot restore the factory settings of the browser directly, but you can delete all the browser data and settings you have created.
Reset Edge browser in Windows 10
If you delete both the existing browser data and the settings of the app, the Windows browser is practically reset. Here's how you do it:
- First click on the icon with the three dots in the top right corner of Microsoft Edge.
- Select the "Settings" here.
- At this point, click on the "Select item to be deleted" button and then on "Show more".
- At this point you can delete the media licenses, popup exceptions, the permissions for position data, the full permissions and the compatibility permissions of Microsoft Edge.
- To do this, click on the "Delete" button.
If the browser is reset, you can then import your old bookmarks again.
