Windows 10: Solve Bluetooth problems
Solving Bluetooth problems on Windows 10 is not difficult. You can use external tools to do this, or use the Control Panel to troubleshoot. We'll show you how.
Bluetooth problems in Windows 10: Activate Bluetooth correctly
First, make sure Bluetooth is enabled on Windows 10. We will show you where you can find the option in the next article and in the video.
Windows 10 Bluetooth problem: repair driver
The drivers are often faulty after an upgrade to Windows 10. In this case you can repair them with an external tool:
- Download the "Driver Booster Free" program. You can find the software in our download area.
- Install "Driver Booster Free" and start the program. Click "Update Now" to automatically download all drivers. Then she installs the program independently.
Windows 10 Bluetooth problem: remove Bluetooth device
If the driver update does not help, remove your Bluetooth device and then reinstall it:
- Open the Control Panel and navigate to "Devices and Printers".
- Right-click to select the faulty device and press "Remove".
- Now add a new Bluetooth device by selecting the "Add device" button under Devices and Printers. Simultaneously press the reset switch on your Bluetooth device.
- Select the "My device is ready and visible" option.
- As soon as Windows finds the device, follow the further installation process.
Windows 10 Bluetooth problem: Allow Bluetooth devices
Also make sure that Windows allows Bluetooth devices to connect:
- Go to the Control Panel and select "Hardware and Audio".
- Click on "Bluetooth devices" and go to the options. Check "Allow Bluetooth devices to connect to this computer".
