Windows 10: Setup could not start - you can do that
If you want to install Windows 10 but the setup could not be started, this is due to faulty files. In this practical tip, we will tell you how to fix this error message.
Windows 10 setup failed to start - what to do?
- First, delete the Windows 10 setup program from your PC before proceeding.
- Then you have to show the hidden files and folders in Windows.
- Then go to "Computer" and open the system hard drive C. There you will find two folders, "$ Windows. ~ BT" and "$ Windows. ~ WS".
- Select both and press [Del] to remove them from the PC. Then restart your PC.
- You can now download and run the installer again.
