Record games under Windows 10 - how it works with on-board equipment
- Start any game in Windows 10 and simultaneously press the [Windows] and [G] keys. The picture then freezes and a small menu appears below.
- You can now start the recording with this menu. The last 30 seconds can also be recorded on request. If you have experienced something extraordinary, you can use it to go back in time.
- Recordings are made via the new Xbox app. Here you will find the gameplay after the recording. There you can share the video via Facebook, upload it to OneDrive or copy it to your desktop.
Record gameplay on Windows and consoles
- Alternatively, you can record your games with external software. The screencast tool Fraps is relatively easy to use.
- If you use Steam, you do not need any additional software. A suitable function is already integrated in Steam. We'll show you where to find them and how to use them in the practical tip "Steam: Record gameplay".
- If you have a console, you can also record your games on Xbox, PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4.
