Windows 10: Change default browser
Windows 10 includes Microsoft's new browser Edge, which is of course set up as the default browser. You can also change that. We'll show you how to do this.
Change default browser in Windows 10
Whether Firefox, Chrome or Edge - in Windows 10 you can set any browser as the default program. When you start a new browser for the first time, you will be asked for it and can save the corresponding program as a standard app. However, the settings can also be changed later:
- Click on the Windows icon at the bottom left and select "Settings".
- Here you choose the "System" category and click on the "Standard Apps" tab on the left.
- In the "Web browser" section, click on the currently selected program. You can then select your default browser from the list.
In contrast to Internet Explorer, Microsoft Edge cuts a fine figure right from the start. On the next page, we reveal how the new browser is doing in a duel with Firefox.
