Windows 10: Use the start menu in full screen - how it works
In Windows 10, the app drawer is integrated in the start menu. With one trick, however, this can be used in full screen and use Windows 10 like Windows 8. We show you how to activate the feature.
Windows 10: Start menu with apps in full screen
By default, the start menu in Windows 10 is similar to that from Windows 7. Via the settings, you can switch the app drawer back to full screen and use it as in Windows 8.
- To do this, click on the Windows icon at the bottom left and select the "Settings" entry. Alternatively, use the key combination [Windows] + [I].
- There, navigate to the "Personalization" category and click on the "Start" tab.
- Activate the option "Show menu 'Start' in full screen" and close the settings window.
- If you click on the Windows icon in your task bar or press the Windows key, all your apps will appear in full screen.
Instead of using the start menu in full screen, you can only change the size or reduce and enlarge individual apps.
