Automatically activate power saving mode in Windows 10
You can activate the power saving mode in Windows 10 yourself at any time using the battery symbol in the taskbar. Alternatively, you can set a specific battery charge from which the energy-saving mode switches on automatically:
- To do this, open the settings with the key combination [Windows] + [I].
- In the "System" category, click on the "Power saving" tab.
- Here you decide on the entry "Settings for energy saving mode" at the end of the page.
- In the new window, tick "Activate power saving mode automatically if the battery level drops below the following value".
- With the slider below you can set in steps of five percent, from when the energy saving mode should be activated.
- Tip: You can further adjust the behavior in power saving mode using the settings below. For example, individual apps can be exempted from the restrictions of energy-saving mode or the screen brightness can be reduced automatically.
