Windows 10: Activate tablet mode
If you use Windows 10 on a tablet or hybrid device, it is worth activating tablet mode. We'll show you exactly what that means and how it works.
Windows 10 - how does tablet mode work?
- In addition to the usual display, Windows also has a tablet mode. This is already activated on tablet devices.
- The mode is particularly worthwhile for hybrid devices. If you connect a tablet with a mouse and keyboard, normal desktop mode is started automatically.
- You can also activate tablet mode on normal desktop PCs and laptops. To do this, follow the instructions in the next paragraph.
- The windows are automatically placed over the entire screen so that you can operate them much better. It is then no longer possible to adjust the window size.
Activate tablet mode in Windows 10
- Click on the Windows icon at the bottom left and select "Settings".
- Under the "System" category, you will find the "Tablet mode" item on the left.
- If you set the controller from "Off" to "On", the mode starts automatically.
