Windows 10: Deactivate UAC - how it works
When some system functions start, the UAC (User Account Control) appears. You can disable the feature in Windows 10 if you find it annoying. We'll show you how to do this.
UAC: Disable User Account Control on Windows 10
- Press the key combination [Windows] + [X] and select the entry "Control Panel".
- In the category "User Accounts" click on the function of the same name.
- Then select the option "Change user account control settings".
- In the new window, set the controller to the lowest level to switch off user account control.
- Finally save your settings with "OK".
Alternatively: Deactivate UAC using the Windows registry
- Open the Run dialog with the key combination [Windows] + [R].
- Enter the "regedit" command and click "OK".
- Then change to the path "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ SOFTWARE \ Microsoft \ Windows \ CurrentVersion \ Policies \ System".
- Double-click the "EnableLUA" entry and set the value to zero.
- Close the registry editor and finally restart your computer.
