Always run Windows 7 applications as an administrator
Some programs must always be run as an administrator in Windows 7. This applies especially to older tools or those that intervene more deeply in the Windows system. We show you how to always start the desired programs as an administrator.
Windows 7: Always run programs as an administrator
Note: You need administrator rights to start software as an administrator. Otherwise, the following instructions can only be carried out with the password of an administrator.
- Find the desired EXE file and right-click on it.
- The context menu then opens. Select the "Properties" item here.
- Go to the "Compatibility" tab above and activate the "Run as administrator" option below.
- The settings are accepted with the "OK" button. The file is always started with administrator rights.
