Switch off automatic maximization under Windows 7
If you don't like the Windows 7 Aero Snap feature, just turn it off. To stop maximizing or halving your windows when you drag them to the edge of the screen:
- Click on the start button and then open the "Control Panel" of Windows 7.
- Click on the "Ease of Access" menu item and open the "Ease of Access Center".
- Find the "Make it easier to use the mouse" link.
- In the menu that opens, you will find the item "Prevent windows from being automatically arranged when they are moved to the edge of the screen". Place a checkmark in front of the point and click on "Apply".
- Your windows will no longer be automatically enlarged or halved.
