If you want programs to start automatically under Windows 7, you can do this via the Autostart folder. We will show you how to find them and equip them correctly.
Adjust the autostart folder in Windows 7 via the start menu
You can access the autostart folder either via the Start menu or Windows Explorer:
- Select the desired file or the program's EXE file and hold down the left mouse button so that you can drag the file across the desktop.
- Now move the mouse to the Windows symbol at the bottom left of the screen.
- The start menu opens, in which you now move the mouse over "All programs".
- Below you can see the folder "Autostart" in which you can save the file.
Define startup programs in Windows Explorer
- Click on the Windows icon at the bottom left and select "Computer" from the Start menu on the right.
- Enter the following path in the top left corner and replace the letters "XXXXX" with your user name.
- C: \ Users \ XXXXX \ AppData \ Roaming \ Microsoft \ Windows \ Start Menu \ Programs \ Startup
- Then click Enter, you are in the Startup folder. Here you can now copy all files and programs that should be started with Windows.
Note: If you want programs to start, just drag the EXE file into the Startup folder, not the folder for the entire program.
