Windows 7: Adjust picture of the folder preview
In Windows 7, an image is randomly selected to preview the folder. However, you can easily adjust the settings - we will show you how.
Change picture of the folder preview
You can manually select an image file for this and not several files:
- To do this, right-click on the desired folder icon in the relevant view and select the "Properties" context command.
- Go to the "Customize" tab. There, click on "Select file" in the "Folder images" area. Select the desired file and then click on "Open".
- Confirm the change with "Apply" and "OK". Windows saves this individual setting in the respective folder in a file "desktop.ini" in the line beginning with "Logo =". In the above dialog, the change can be easily undone by clicking the "Restore" button.
- Attention: Do not confuse the setting with the "folder symbol". As a result, the symbol is permanently changed for all views and then no longer allows dynamic folder images.
