Windows 7: Disable the on-screen keyboard
If your computer does not recognize the keyboard in Windows 7, you can switch on the so-called "on-screen keyboard". However, deactivating it is not easy: if you exit the tool, it will be there again the next time you restart it. We'll show you how to completely disable the keyboard again.
How to disable the on-screen keyboard in Windows 7
- First, enter "Ease of Access Center" in the Windows search bar.
- Now you have to select "Change administrator settings" in the left margin and then "Apply all settings to the login dialog".
- Now call up the settings for the on-screen keyboard: "Use a computer without a mouse or keyboard".
- Here you only have to remove the checkmark at "Use on-screen keyboard" to deactivate the keyboard.
