Windows 7: Bluetooth settings disappeared - what to do?

If the Bluetooth icon is not displayed in the taskbar under Windows 7, this can have several reasons. We'll tell you what it can be and how to fix it.
Make Bluetooth settings visible again in Windows 7
- Click the Windows icon at the bottom left of the screen and enter "Bluetooth" in the search field.
- From the search results, select the item "Change Bluetooth settings". If the option is not displayed, skip to the next paragraph.
- A new window opens in which you can see the option "Show Bluetooth icon in the notification area" as the lowest point. Check the box and then click "OK".
Other troubleshooting when the Bluetooth icon disappears
If the Bluetooth icon is still not on the taskbar, there are two possible problems:
