Windows 7: Send fax - how it works
With just a few clicks, you can also send a fax under Windows 7. In this practical tip, we will show you exactly how to do this.
Send fax document in Windows 7 - so it'll work
- Open the start menu and select "Devices and Printers".
- In the next window, double-click on "Fax" so that the "Windows Fax and Scan" tool opens.
- To send a fax, click on the "New Fax" button at the top left.
- Now you need to connect to your fax machine. To do this, select "Connect to a fax modem".
- In the next step you have to enter the name of the fax machine and then click on "Notify" so that you are informed about incoming calls.
- To allow this process in the Windows Firewall, select "Allow access" in the next window.
- Now you can start writing the fax. Enter the number to which you want to send the fax above.
- When you are finished with the message, click Send at the top left to send the fax.
