Windows 7: Place the trash in the task bar
If you often use the recycle bin, you can easily put it in the taskbar under Windows 7. A quick guide to this can be found in this article
How to pin the trash to the taskbar
Since the original recycle bin cannot be inserted into the taskbar, you have to create a new link:
- Right-click on an empty space on your desktop and open "New"> "Shortcut".
- Now add the following file path to link the recycle bin: "% SystemRoot% \ explorer.exe shell: RecycleBinFolder" (see image).
- Then click "Next" and name the shortcut "Trash". Then press the "Finish" button.
- Now right-click on the shortcut you created> "Properties"> "Shortcut" and look for the recycle bin icon here. Confirm this with "Ok".
- Now you have to select the shortcut again with the right mouse button and select "attach to taskbar".
In this tip, we show you how to attach normal folders to the taskbar.
