Windows 7 does not always name folders by their correct names. For some purposes, however, you need to find out the correct path name. We'll show you how.
Find out path names in Windows 7
- Open Windows Explorer with [Win] + [E].
- In the folder structure, navigate to the desired folder, such as "Programs", for which you want to determine the actual path.
- Then click the left mouse button on a free space in the address bar. Windows then replaces the logical name of the directory with its actual path, in the example »C: \ Program Files«.
- You can now easily mark this entry and copy it to the clipboard for later use with [Ctrl] + [C].
