Windows 7: Search faster - the 3 best tips

Windows 7 search shorten by modification date
You can use search filters to specify your search more precisely.
- In Windows Explorer, click the search field.
- The reference to the "modification date" appears directly below. Click on it.
- Here you can enter a date or a date range and search for "last week", for example. In this way you narrow your search and thus shorten the search time significantly.

You can also shorten the search by direct access.
- For a search that you perform frequently, click on "Save search" in the task bar on the left in Explorer.
- Then allocate the search process to a suitable storage location and save it with "Save".
- In the future, simply click on this icon to start the specific search.
Libraries can be searched faster
Include folders you frequently search in libraries.
- To do this, click on the desired folder.
- In the toolbar click on "Add to library" and in the opened menu on "Create new library".
