Windows 7 System Recovery: A Guide
If you have problems with the Windows 7 system, you can not avoid doing a system restore. We explain how this works here.
Perform system restore on Windows 7
- Click the start button at the bottom left.
- Enter "system recovery" in the search line below and select the appropriate search result.
- In the window that opens, you can either leave the selection set to the last restore point or select a different restore point.
- If you go via the "Select another restore point" option, you will be shown all the times and events at which you can restore the system (see image). Select a point and click "Next".
- You can then theoretically choose between different partitions on the hard disk. Usually, however, only one partition is shown here, which is why no further configuration is necessary.
- When you click "Finish", Windows starts working. System Restore is prepared for about a minute and then automatically restarts the computer. Overall, the whole process can take up to ten minutes, depending on the computer.
