Related Videos: Windows 7 System Restore (May 2024).
If Windows 7 no longer runs as it should, you can perform a system restore. The settings and configurations of your system are then reset to an earlier point in time. We'll show you how it's done.
Perform system restore on Windows 7
- Click the start button at the bottom left.
- Type "system restore" in the search line below and then select the appropriate result.
- A new window is opening up. The last restore point is automatically preselected here.
- If you don't want to use it, click on the option below, select an older restore point and click on "Next" (see image).
- When you finally click the "Finish" button, the system recovery is started. It only takes about a minute for your computer to restart automatically. Depending on how fast it works, the whole process can take several minutes.
