Microsoft introduced User Account Control for security reasons. Under Windows 7 you can also deactivate the UAC if you feel disturbed by the user account control.
Deactivate the UAC in just four steps under Windows 7
The easiest and most convenient way to deactivate the UAC under Windows 7 is via the system configuration.
- To do this, first go to the search box on the start bar.
- Enter either "System configuration" or "MsConfig" there and then open the "System configuration" menu.
- In the "System configuration" tab, select the "Tools" tab.
- Then start the option "Change UAC settings" and you can regulate the level of notifications according to your wishes.
Tip: Deactivate user account control only for individual Win7 programs
If you do not want to completely forego the security aspects of the UAC, you can deactivate the user account control under Windows 7 only for individual programs.
