Windows Live Mail as an alternative to Outlook Express
Windows Live Mail is part of the free Windows Live Essentials. These include, for example, the Movie Maker or a client for SkyDrive. However, you do not have to install these additional programs.
- Download Windows Live Essentials.
- Start the installation and click "Select the programs you want to install."
- In the next screen you can deselect the programs that you do not want. "Mail" is Windows Live Mail, the replacement for Outlook Express.
- Click on "Install" and follow the further instructions of the installation.
